How do I meet people nearby?
Set up your profile with a photo and a few interests, then tap "Go live" to become visible to others nearby. When you and someone else both wave, you can start chatting.
What is the live selfie for?
It does two things. It keeps the community authentic, so the people you meet are really who they say they are. It also shows what you look like right now, so when you and someone connect, you can actually recognize and find each other in the moment.
How do I report someone or block them?
Open a profile and use the report or block option. We take safety seriously and review reports promptly.
How do I delete my account?
Go to your profile, open settings, and choose "Delete account." This permanently removes your data. You can also email us and we'll help.
Who can use Friendly Encounter?
You must be 18 or older to use the app.
